Associate of Arts Degree Program

The San Quentin College Program is an extension site of Patten University, and offers a liberal arts/general education Associate's Degree. Students must complete 60 semester units (20 classes) in the humanities, social sciences, math, and science. Most courses are introductory and lower division. The list of course requirements is below. Many can be fulfilled by similar or related courses.

In addition to the courses required for the Associate's degree, the College Program also offers courses such as Pre-Calculus, statistics, Spanish language, and additional science classes (with lab) so that students may fulfill all requirements for transfer-eligibility to any University of California or California State University campus.

FOUR ELECTIVES

First year Spanish language (two semesters), pre-calculus or statistics, as well as an additional science course (with lab) are recommended for fulfilment of electives, so that students will have completed all transfer eligibility requirements to UC and Cal State campuses.
