Students
Anyone who is classified as general population at San Quentin and holds either a GED or high school diploma is eligible to enroll in the College Program. Students range in age from 20 to 72; the average age is 36. Currently, 51% of students are Black, 27% are White, 10% are Hispanic, 8% are Asian, and 6% are classified as “Other.” San Quentin’s entire population is classified as male.
